Specna Arms SA-B03 carbine replica (ASCU2 Gen.4+ version)

The Specna Arms brand SA-B03 carbine replica made predominantly of an homogenous alloy of zinc and aluminum with the use of steel elements in the most neuralgic points of the replica ( the screws, the pins and the tactical sling attachment points are made of steel ). The SF type stock which holds the battery and the pistol grip were made of polymer plastic. The replica’s body, the RIS rail set were a subject to the process of anodizing what guaranties a high level of protecting the replica against corrosion. The paintjob of the replica itself was made using the pulverization method after a previous sandblasting of the replica’s surface. This ensures the paint’s higher, than usually, durability against abrasion. The replica’s body beads the USMC markings.

The replica was fitted very well – in a way that it was previously observable only in the G&P or Classic Army class replicas. It was also perfectly balanced. This ensures a perfect maneuverability of the replica while as its weight is almost not felt when you place the replica on the shoulder.

The replica uses a quick main spring exchange system, the so-called Enter & Convert™. This allows for a quick and fluent adaptation of the replica’s power to the conditions of the battlefield without the need of having access to a workshop or a number of specialist tools – when you take the gearbox out the replica’s body, the process of exchanging the main spring takes literally seconds.

The advantages of the Enter & Convert™ system are hard to overestimate. In the light of the laws existing in Europe and which limit the muzzle velocity of the replica and the establishments inside the airsoft society, this system guaranties the user great possibilities and more liberty. The Enter & Convert™ system allows to change the main spring in little amount of time, and, what is followed by this, adapted the muzzle velocity of the replica to the battlefield so it guaranties a perfect compromise between effectiveness of firing and the safety of your own and other players.

The replica was fully adapted to cooperate with LiPo and LiFe type batteries. Thanks to the basic muzzle velocity of about 410 FPS which is guaranteed by the default main spring, the replica is perfect to be used in middle distances. The set also includes an M90 main spring which allows to decrease the muzzle velocity to about 310 FPS making the replica perfectly adapted for short range operations or fighting inside buildings.

The gearbox which is reinforced on the height of the cylinder’s head hides a steel main spring guide which is the element of the Enter & Convert™ system and also 8mm ball bearings and steel thread-wheels which are placed on spacers. The system is secured with the use of four anti-reversals. The light, polycarbonate piston is equipped with a steel tooth in order to increase its durability. There is a type 2 cylinder and the steel breaker and a metal hop-up chamber applied in this replica.

The replica is equipped with a top 22mm RIS rail, a set of front 22mm RIS rails and an adjustable stock. The top RIS rail holds the flip-up type iron aiming sights which can be easily detached and replaced with any optical-electronic aiming devices. Thanks to the collapsible stock which is ended with a anti-skid stock’s foot, it is possible to adapt the replica’s length to the built and the preferences of the shooter. The default muzzle flash-hider is placed on a 14mm counter-clockwise thread what allows the attachment of a sound suppressor in its place.

In order to increase the realism level, the replica was equipped with a functional bolt catch lever.

The replica set also includes a steel hi-cap type magazine which holds 300 BB pellets.

Specna Arms replicas are compatible with most of the magazines available in the market, for instance with magazines of the following manufacturers:

This replica has been outfitted with the most up-to-date gen.4+ ASCU2 module, installed in our service department.

In the latest ASCU gen.4+ module we receive an updated software that will protect it against damages caused by a low quality Li-Po battery.

The ASCU is a two-part electronic module ( the control module and the sensor module ) which, upon being installed in the Airsoft replicas, significantly improve their operation. The traditional joint module was replaced with a sensor module which monitors the actual position of the piston thread-wheel, the firing mode selector lever and the trigger. The gathered information is sent to the control module – in which the software located in the processor analyzes it and controls the replica’s motor with the use of the MOSFET active break.

ASCU Gen. 4 includes the following upgrades: 

1. New MosFet transistors with 16 times less resistance, resulting in to faster cycle, better active brake, more shots per battery charge and less heat.
2. New very strong trigger switch.
3. New reinforced design with full polymer encasing.
4. Better short-circuit protection.
5. Easier installation.
6. Updated software with easier programing (accidental hop-up program activation is impossible).
7. Improved cut-off lever.
8. Improved selector plate.
9. Fits all standard and reinforced version 2 gearboxes.
10. 3 year world wide warranty.

The ASCU improves the operation of a V.3 gearbox and makes that the replica equals the more expensive replicas and the more sophisticated PTW class replicas. The ASCU system monitors the operation of the replica no matter the speed of squeezing the trigger and is responsible for the full cycle of the piston’s operation, both in the semi-automatic and full automatic firing modes. The piston stops in the starting position after each shot.

The ASCU is equipped with the Low Drain Protection system which is specially designed to secure the lithium-polymer (LiPo) batteries from being damaged.

In case of any emergency, the ASCU stops the firing mode in the replica and, therefore, secures the inner elements from further damage.

The ASCU is easy to install in the replica which is equipped in the V.2 gearbox. Most of the models does not require the modification of the airsoft rifle’s original parts. Yet, in some cases, some minor changes may have to be introduced – thanks to this the installation process will be completed without any problems.

Akumulator NiCd cechuje się dużą wydajnością prądową, ale występuje w nich uciążliwy efekt pamięci. Powinny być rozładowywane i ładowane w pełnych cyklach, tj. zaleca się pełne rozładowanie, a po rozładowaniu należy akumulator niezwłocznie naładować nie pozostawiając go na dłużej w stanie rozładowanym.

Akumulatory NiMH charakteryzują się szybszym czasem samorozładowania i krótszą żywotnością - z drugiej strony, osiągają one ok. 30% więcej pojemności.

Blow Back (BB) jest to system imitujący pracę zamka (odrzut podczas wystrzału), który spotykany jest najczęściej w modelach gazowych pistoletów i karabinów, jednakże co raz częściej pojawia się on także w replikach elektrycznych. Dzięki temu, strzelanie staje się bardziej zbliżone do ostrych odpowiedników, co zwiększa realizm podczas rozgrywek. Za każdym naciśnięciem za spust, replice towarzyszy tzw. "kopnięcie", czyli odrzut spowodowany zwrotnym ruchem zamka.
W modelach gazowych, system blowback działa dzięki przeznaczonej na ten cel większej części gazu, natomiast w replikach elektrycznych, zamek poruszany jest dzięki pracy silnika napędzającego cały mechanizm.

Oznaczenia v2, v3, v6 nie oznaczają stopnia zaawansowania mechanizmu ,a jedynie kształt zastosowanego szkieletu, który dobierany jest przez producenta w zależności od możliwości korpusu repliki. Przykładowo, repliki z rodziny M4/M16, MP5, mają gearbox v2, natomiast rodzina AK czy G36 gearbox v3.
